Mission Statement

The Spiritual Workers Association is a not-for-profit self regulating organisation whose primary aim is to Define, Promote and Protect Excellence in the Field of Spiritual Work and to ensure that all its members adhere to the highest possible standards. Its secondary aim is to create an informed and educated public to reduce vulnerability to deceptive practices by those who are fraudulent.

All spiritual workers need to have a recognised voice and the best way to achieve this is to work together and become our own governing body. We are proud to be spiritual workers. Now is the time to stand up and say so.

The SWA is the umbrella group that is bringing spiritual organisations and independents together to form this governing body. Although the SWA is itself a new organisation, its member organisations have been established for many years. The SWA is already more representative of all spiritual workers than any other organisation in the world. This is our opportunity to help change the face of spiritual work in the UK, to afford us the respect we deserve and to ensure we are a force to be reckoned with.

Membership is FREE and open to all spiritual workers and partnership organisations, both in Britain and the world, who are happy to abide by the standards and conditions as drawn up and agreed by the members and therefore defined by the association. Members of the public who support the aims and objectives of the SWA can also join. Members will be able to vote on all major issues. The association’s membership list will also be available to the public. This will enable the public to find spiritual workers who they know are committed to high standards.

SWA Awards – Who will you nominate

The awards to be presented at the SWA Gala are designed to assist those who are new to Spiritual Life or are interested in finding out more. They are intended to offer guidance for those who are new to the spiritual movement. They are not commercial or aimed at individuals.

What inspired you? Where did you go where you felt really welcome? What magazine, book or TV programme would you recommend to someone new to spiritual philosophy? The categories are for magazines, books, centres/churches, CD’s etc that people would recommend to others as a good example of the spiritual way of life.

We are still looking for sponsors for individual categories at £200 each (this covers the cost of the meal for the three finalists and their partner in each category and the award itself). If you would like tickets to the Awards Evening, please contact Sandra on 01475 700706. If you are interested in helping with sponsorship please contact us on 01621 869567 or 07879231360.
